Memberships
WAMTAC is a sanctioning body for amateur Muay Thai in Canada. WAMTAC has developed a competition model for amateur Muay Thai that is dedicated to the safety of all participants.
Coaches and Corner men are required to undergo testing and instruction ensuring they understand the model developed by WAMTAC.
Judges and Referees must receive WAMTAC approved certification in order to officiate at sanctioned events.
On-site Medical Practitioners are educated in Muay Thai and have an active role before, during and after fights to ensure the safety of all participants.

General Membership Requirements
- Club owner/operators must have minimum 4 years Traditional Muay Thai training experience
- All club owners/operators and coaches must have pass a Canadian criminal background check
- Coaches must complete WAMTAC certificate course
- Officials must complete WAMTAC certificate course
- All coaches must have National Coaching Certificate Program Level 1
- All coaches must have valid First Aid Certificate
- Clubs are to register annually for membership
- Coaches and Officials are to register annually for membership
- Club owner/operators are responsible for registering their members, instructors and coaches
- Club owner/operators are to adhere for all Policies, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of WAMTAC
All information collected by WAMTAC from its applicants will be kept strictly confidential and will only be used by the officers of WAMTAC for the purposes of the coaching certification program.
